Halesowen BID are backing the fantastic initiative, Halesowen In Bloom, which encourages individuals, community groups, school, councils and businesses to turn unloved and neglected parts of their neighbourhoods into something alive and beautiful – and they need YOUR help!
The initiative, which is run by volunteers, are proud to announce the launch of their Just Giving page where they are looking for donations to support volunteers by purchasing the equipment they need for volunteers to water the floral decorations in the town centre.
Halesowen in Bloom are also appealing for volunteers who may have an hour or so free once a week to assist the growing number of people who have kindly offered to be watering custodians throughout the summer. Without these volunteers Halesowen in Bloom would not be going ahead this summer.
Eve O’Connor, the Chair of Halesowen in Bloom, said “Without the help of the volunteers and sponsors none of our activities would be possible, Halesowen is very blessed to have such a strong community that work together, ensuring Halesowen keeps blooming. I can also announce that judgment day by the Royal Horticultural Society judges has been set for the 19th July 2017.”
Eve is also involved in the Halesowen Business Improvement District (BID), which she hopes will ensure the future sustainability of Halesowen in Bloom, as many of the other towns that Halesowen In Bloom competes against are supported by a BID.
The Halesowen BID (if successful in the voting process in June-July) pledges to give considerable donations to support this fantastic event.
Anyone who would like to assist please contact Eve for further information on 0121 585 5495 or email email@example.com.
